Do Raccoons Scare Deer?

Yes, raccoons can scare deer away. In addition to being a nuisance, raccoons can also be dangerous to deer.

They can transmit diseases to deer, and their sharp claws can injure them. If you have a deer feeder on your property, it’s essential to take steps to keep raccoons away.

You can do a few things to deter raccoons, including putting the feeder on a platform, using a baffle, hanging the feeder from a wire, and applying capsaicin around the area.

You may need to call wildlife control if you have persistent raccoon problems. They will be able to remove the animals safely and effectively.

With a little effort, you can keep raccoons away from your deer feeder—and keep your deer safe!
